IPOH, Malaysia: India, after a tough contest with their arch rivals Pakistan, succeeded in qualifying for the final of the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament here on Saturday. India managed to defeat Pakistan 2-1 through a goal from Sandeep Singh just a few minutes before the end of the match. India were leading the game in the first half 1-0 but in the 50th minute during the second half, Mohammad Saqlain helped Pakistan level the match. However, India took the lead again in the 60th minute and Pakistan could not stop them entering into the final of the tournament. Both goals for India were scored by Sandeep Singh. |
