Govt to solve plastic bag issue this year: minister

ISLAMAABD: Environment Minister Hamidullah Jan Afridi on Thursday said that issue of plastic bags, causing serious harm to the envoirment, would be resolved this year. Speaking to reporters during visit to industrial area here, he said laws regarding ban on use of plastic bags already existed. However, he added that these laws were not being implemented. The federal minister said that the environment ministry would soon start a training program for steel mills’ owners and the staff about environmental protection.
