KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Dr. Shazia Murree has said on Saturday that Pakistan Peoples’ Party can play positive and progressive role even if it opts to sit on opposition benches in Punjab assembly.She said this while speaking at a seminar here in “Shaheed Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST)”. She claimed the stability of democracy lies in strengthening the President, Prime Minister and Parliament.
She gave credit to media, people, civil society and political parties for the restoration of democracy here in Pakistan.
Minister lauded the announcement of lifting governor rule in Punjab saying, “It is worth appreciating.”
“Government did not put precincts on media”, she asserted adding, media should also become responsible”.
